Attention Tax Calculator

How we identify the attention you're missing.

What we measure

The Attention Tax Calculator audits your public web presence to identify attention leaks: missed opportunities, underused channels, decayed evergreen content, invisible methodology, or absent infrastructure that costs you visibility, credibility, or conversion.

Each audit returns up to two ranked leaks. Each leak is grounded in specific evidence from your public page text and mapped to a Drosjer Group service that addresses it.

How the audit runs

  1. Crawl. We fetch your homepage HTML and extract title, meta description, and visible body text. No headless browser, no JavaScript execution. Static fetch with a 15-second timeout, capped at 20,000 characters of body text.
  2. Surface enumeration. We identify visible marketing surfaces from your page text: Blog, Newsletter, Podcast, Documentation, Case Studies, Social Profiles, Methodology Pages, Community, Events.
  3. Leak detection. An LLM-based analysis identifies the most actionable leak signatures present in your page. Each leak is scored on severity (high, medium, low) based on business impact.
  4. Service mapping. Each leak is mapped to the Drosjer Group service whose signature it most specifically matches.

What's in scope

Your homepage's visible public surfaces. Anything in static HTML — text content, navigation links, references to marketing channels, public claims about customers or methodology.

What's out of scope

  • Private channels — email lists, gated content, paid advertising
  • JavaScript-rendered content on heavily-React/Vue/SPA marketing sites (the static fetch will see a thin shell)
  • Multi-page crawl, blog post pagination, sitemap analysis
  • Subdomains and microsites unless the audit URL points to them directly
  • Competitive benchmarking against named competitors

These all fall under the Pro tier audit, available for select clients.

The 9 Drosjer Group services

Audit recommendations map to one of nine services. Each addresses a specific leak signature:

Decay Reversal Service
Existing content surfaces showing staleness or insufficient promotion.
Shadow Infrastructure Map
Operational excellence and methodology completely invisible publicly.
SEO Authority Capture
Methodology exists but is buried in site architecture or undiscoverable.
Competitor Gap Report
Missing competitive positioning or differentiation framing.
Adjacency Report
Narrow audience reach despite strong product or methodology.
Audience Cloning Studio
Audience growth stagnation; signs of network plateau.
Podcast Attention Engine
Podcast surface absent or underused on a content-heavy stack.
Hivemind Basic
Explicit user/customer claims without visible proof.
Network Path Map
Network effects or platform dynamics unarticulated publicly.

Accuracy and limitations

The audit is a structural analysis tool. It identifies leak signatures with high accuracy when your page has standard marketing content (case studies, blog references, methodology claims, social proof). It performs less well on:

  • Heavily JavaScript-rendered sites where the static fetch sees a thin shell
  • Single-page applications with content loaded entirely client-side
  • Highly technical product surfaces (documentation hubs, developer portals) where marketing language is intentionally minimal

If your audit returns thin surface detection, consider the Pro tier audit which uses a headless browser to render JavaScript-heavy sites.
