Podcast Attention Engine

How we match you to real podcasts that fit your ICP, then rank them into a guest-placement strategy.

The surface we map

A Podcast Placement Map identifies the real podcasts where your ICP gathers and that you can credibly speak on, excludes the shows you have already appeared on, and ranks the best fits into a guest-placement strategy. The object is the third-party shows that already hold your audience's attention.

No on-platform tool lists which real podcasts fit you, and a booking agency pitches shows without first grounding the fit in each show's own description. This map starts from a real podcast database, grounds every recommendation in the show's public record, and hands you the ranked pitch order, which is the part that comes before any outreach.

The evidence standard

Every recommended show is a real, findable podcast and carries the show's real feed id; relevance traces to the show's own description through a verbatim excerpt; a show you have already appeared on is excluded; and we never fabricate a show, a figure, or a listener number. Before your map is built, a mechanical gate checks each recommendation against the candidate records actually retrieved.

A show is kept only if its feed id is a real candidate, it is not one you have already appeared on, and its evidence excerpt is a verbatim substring of that show's description. A listener figure is kept only if it appears verbatim in the record; otherwise it is removed. Whatever does not pass is dropped, never invented to fill space. The prompt instructs this; the gate proves it.

How it works

  1. Real records only. Candidate shows come from Podcast Index, a real podcast database. Every recommended show carries the show's real feed id, and a show that is not a real candidate record is dropped, never invented.
  2. Matched to you. We search on your ICP and your stated areas of expertise, then score each candidate on fit against what its own public description says.
  3. No repeats. Shows you tell us you have already appeared on are resolved to their records and excluded from the recommendations.

What you get per show

  • Why it fits, grounded only in the show's own public description
  • A verbatim excerpt from that description as the evidence, so you can check it
  • A pitch angle and talking points you could credibly deliver
  • A neutral observation about the publisher, drawn from the record's author field, never a claim about how easy a booking is
  • A rank and a recommended order to pitch the shows

What we do not claim

  • We do not independently verify the relevance reasoning; it is inferred from each show's public description, not audited.
  • We do not assess whether a show accepts guest pitches or how easy a booking is.
  • Audience or listener figures are not a feature. Podcast Index records usually do not carry them, so most shows show no figure, and where one appears it is copied verbatim from the record, never estimated.
  • We do not provide contact data, book, or run outreach on your behalf, and we do not guarantee that a show will book or a pitch will convert.

Trust boundary and guarantee

The recommendations are based on each show's public Podcast Index record, not independently verified. If few shows genuinely fit, you receive an honest, shorter map rather than a padded one.
